My last bottle; as I think I mentioned in my last note, for a Pinot Grigio, this is a full-bodied wine. Fully mature at this point, blind I doubt I would ever pick this out as Pinot Grigio. Delicious today, yet cerebral at the same time. A wine made for the sceptic who believes that Pinot Grigio is only capable of vacuous, Santa Margarita-styled wines.

Light yellow-gold in the glass; a lovely floral nose.
Dry and structured and medium-bodied - it will no doubt sound strange to say this about a grape that most people associate with Santa Margarita, but this is still too young.
Top notch Pinot Grigio that really is in the style of Alsatian Pinot Gris. Nonetheless, this captures the Alpine spirit with faint hints of pine amidst the floral nose and lovely pear and marmalade palate. Shows vibrant acidity without stripping the enamel off your teeth. Does wonders with buttery sauces.

From a bottle opened the other night.
Has to be as full-bodied of a Pinot Grigio as I have ever tried. I like this a lot, although I would call this drink now at 6+ years of age.

Some tutti frutti here, exotic fruits, floral notes. Good minerality and acidity, reasonable length. Still young.
