  • Another stunning bottle of this. Sinus clearing power. Very long. Young and serious but surprisingly drinkable right now. Should be next level magnificent in 10 years

  • In a single word, chiseled. Diesel, cutting, rich.

  • [Ramen Wine Tasting Night 12/21/22]
PnP smells like an atypical high quality sweeter Riesling, petroleum, lean stone fruit, pineapple and tropical fruit. PnP palate similar to the 15 Abtserde I had last week, just with more floral lift. We listened to Klaus Peter and gave the remaining wine in the bottle some time (2 hours) before our next taste.

With time this changed into the monster that I remembered. Big ripe concentrated stone fruit and tropical fruit, ripe pineapples, lots of floral notes, elderflower, acacia, honeysuckle and honeyed fruit, slight herbal and herbaceous notes, citrus and lemon peel aromatics. Fuller body for a Riesling with a crazy racy acid that is balanced by the sheer amount of complexity in flavors. We had an Yquem after this, and the racy acid in the G-Max made the Yquem feel like med acid when in reality it was a high acid wine as well. A hint of honey and sugar on the still very dry finish. This was young and enjoyable. Alas, this however still shows that this wine needed another 5+ years at least, as it was hard to see it truly shine tonight. 96-97 today, 98++ potential

  • Celebrating my 100th German Riesling review 👑 with the world’s possibly best Riesling

Nose: Ripe white currant, white peach, tropical fruit, herbs, toast, butter, nuts and a hint of reductiveness

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied (ABV 13%), super-dry, with a dramatic streak of razorsharp acidity, a creamy, electric, mineral palate with white peach, lime & herbs and an endless saline, mineral finish.

Conclusion: Super-complex and precise with an almost unreal levitating mouthfeel.

    Unclassified, from a secret vineyard

  • Orchard and tropical fruit galore mixed with slate and minerality. Weighty on the palate but freshness driven by searing acidity. The texture of the wine just coats your mouth and finish persists for ever. Pack this away but what a treat.
