Winferno in Umeå (Stöcksjö, Umeå): Deg ~2000. Yellow with few bubbles. Aromatically: a lot of old apples. The nicest thing I can say (from my taste) is that I found the acidic profile to be delicious.

Color: Medium to deep yellow with a copper tone. Mouth: Fine mousse. Brioche and fruity aromas. Unlike many other champagnes with this one there is a balance between brioche and fruit. Excellent expressiveness and length. Some complexity.

half bottle. P&P. this half bottle has been in my cellar since I do not know when, I would say more than 10 years, probably around 15. great nose, first on spices, butter and biscuit notes. after half an hour ocean breeze notes appeared. the nose is obviously showing the age of the champagne, but all is balanced, I love t where it is now. the bubble is fine, delicate good acidity and length. I like the nose more than the palate but all in all, this bottle is very very good.

persistent fine bubbles, deeper more powerful Champagne, clean and fresh even though it has spent a couple of years in the cellar, went well both with food and alone

Lemon, light orange, floral and light toast notes on the nose. Close to medium bodied with rounded orchard fruit notes upfront, gaining nice depth through the middle. Adds some light lemon and orange notes behind to go along with very good tart notes and acidity on the back and through the finish. The mid-body fruit/depth worked quite well with the combination of acidity and tartness behind. Overall, not tremendously complex, but well constructed and drinking quite enjoyably at present (The Fed cocktail bar, The Langham Hotel; Boston, Massachusetts)
