Chapoutier (Ivy Bottle Shop, Sydney): Blackberry, a little black pepper, crushed rock, black olives, a little tapenade. Sourly juicy, muted blackberry sprinkled with freshly crushed black pepper, a sense of density and breadth, tannins are drying, grippy, fruit travels long on this tannic vessel. Very nice.

1 hour decant. Still took its time opening up/not particularly expressive at first taste. Developed a pleasing minerality after a few more hours.
Should develop more over time.

2014 sizeranne hermitage
Parfymert, røde og svarte bær, elegant og feminin til å være Hermitage. Mye mere i retning Cote-Rotie. Balansert og lekker. Ikke så pompøs. Lang 91-92
