This is a mid-priced new world Pinot Noir and has to be taken for what it is. Unmistakably Pinot nose of red berries, light forest floor and strong vegetal aromas. Flabby on the palate with a short finish and a bit of aggressive acidity.
An unremarkable food wine not devoid of varietal specificity.

This is my quaffing Pinot when I'm not expecting too much weight from the wine, in Summer or with light food. I like it with steamed Salmon. Certainly light bodied but with good flavour. Its probably young plantings Pinot but I like the clone as it gives up some lovely strawberry red cherry and raspberry flavour with a nice balance of acidity. Not at all savoury and not much oak used. Something I do if I want more body is mix this and a more savoury Pinot together and the result can be more enjoyable than either as this Pinot has excellent fruit to give to the mix. Great price and should hold 2-3 years.

"2019" Sydney International Wine Show - stewarding notes; 10/7/2018-10/12/2018 (Blue Mountains, NSW): {screwcap, 13.5%} Tobacco, dirt and a stemmy note. Earthy. The palate has tingly, simple red cherry fruit, is light/medium-bodied, with low dusty tannins and medium acid. Not sweet or oaky; rather a bit on the thin side, with a short finish. Basic workmanlike stuff.
