  • Popped and poured for pan seared salmon for dinner. I did not know I had one of these this old so I felt obliged to crack it on a weekday before it turned to vinegar. This was bought on release and stored at 55F since. It was an aging beauty. THe color is more pale than most WSs and on the nose it kept its fresh floral nose. I find red fruit balanced with acid in most WS pinots and that is what I like about it and it was all there but a bit lightweight. It was perfect with the fish but I would say it is at best above average to very good. Drink up. Most WSs seem to me to be at their best 5-8 yeaars of age and in contrast to my Kistlers which have not found an upper limit yet

  • Blood red. Nose of sweet marmalade, cherries and blackberries. Decanted (needed to for the sediment). The intense sweet cherry top note receded with time out of the bottle. Other notes of roses, raspberry jam and a hint of chocolate emerged that made forf a more pleasant bottle. Still youngish. A nice bottle.

  • Moderately dark red color with slightly orange rim showing some age. Nose of sweet red berry. Strawberry, cherry. Some cola and mild forest floor. Palate moderately smooth and moderately long. Raspberry, cherry, cola, some mild tobacco and wet leaves. Somewhat pleasant, but less depth and complexity than I was expecting.

  • Killer nose of raspberry torte and flowers...lots of flowers. Über smooth entry of sweet raspberries, cherries, and violets. Nice acidity with this wine but it does tail off at the end with bittersweet chocolate. Too bitter at the end to be really good. Still though, for 12 years old it has a lot of depth and personality. This aged well for a Cali Pinot.

  • Popped and poured. Medium color with just a bit of bricking. Great nose of minerals, floral, earth, and maybe some cranberry. Silky smooth lightweight wine with nice spice. Very complex, elegant wine tat is at it's peak of maturity. I am not saying it is going to go downhill soon, just that it is in a great place.
