My last bottle, drinking very well now. As with the previous bottle, nice complexity here, and a less creamy and sweet version of an auslese. There were lots of pineapple notes, some botrytis, and different stonefruits on this medium to full bodied, elegant, well balanced wine. Still has lots of life left (A-).

really solid at 12 years of age, this shows youthful fruit of peach, ripe pear, sitting on top of wet stone, nutmeg, and allspice. nice petrol is showing through, but still subtle. balanced acidity and sweetness -- perhaps a bit on the sweet side of auslese, but what would you expect with an '05. finish is superb, and carried the high-toned fruit through until you are ready to take the next sip.

Hazy notes from last week. Still young, but quite lovely. Great complexity, and an interesting menthol note to add to the citrus and stonefruit on the very elegant, medium-bodied palate.Drier and less viscous than a normal auslese, but none the worse for these differences. Great now but will get better (A-).

Still tasting very young. Petrol notes just beginning to appear with some apple and pineapple. Sweetness is nicely balanced with acidity but has not yet evolved to show great depth of complexity. Still, there is great potential here.
