DIVA Burgundy Tasting (Maison Champy - Beaune): Tasting, brief note. Bright red fruit with subtle spice on nose and palate. Moderate weight with very elegant structure and textures. Good finish, very good+ for its level.

Thursday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Prieure-Roch, Mugneret-Gibourg and David Duband (Cote d'Or (Mostly)): Tasted at the domaine. Bright red cherry aromas, then more backward, firm flavors. Red cherry throughout with subtle spice and moderate weight and an early hint of earth starting to emerge. Like most of the lineup this emphasizes elegance and finesse over power. Needs a few years in the cellar.
