The nose has distinct notes of melon and citrus fruit. The palate is more on the tart green apple that transitions to blue stone and even a touch of petrol. The finish is brought about by an intense acidity. This hasn't lost anything even if it is a bit older. It might last for another couple of years.

Medium-gold appearance, showing some age. Developing nose of medium minus intensity, with citrus, green fruit, floral, and a pronounced creamy/lees component. Some lactic and faint petrol notes suggesting age. Medium acidity on the palate with a touch of sweetness and flavors of yellow fruits, green apple, and creamy autolysis/lees. Good concentration and length. Age seems to have buffed away many of the edges here; the wine now shows a mature rich, lactic style. Very worthwhile, but I think I prefer albariño with the sharpness of youth. I'll definitely drink up my remaining bottles within the year.

(Pazo de Señoráns Albariño Rías Baixas) Group's #6 (my #9) – 51 pts.; 2, 0, 0, 1 – light medium golden yellow; funky, strong herbal nose with a white cheese component; sweet entry, then the funky cheese and herbal characteristic moves in, a little cloying and lacking in acid, like a Loire Chenin Blanc from a very ripe year; short-medium cliff finish ($24)
(PAZO SENORANS ALBARINO) #3; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-little musty, stone & apple make little stone-apple babies, little fresh cream; TASTE-nice mouthfeel, razor sharp, crazy crisp & clean, tremendous complexity, beautiful honeydew, hints of banana, a good wine, but a little one-dimensional; JM-92; GV-88
(Pazo de Señoráns Albariño Rías Baixas) Almost clear with yellow tinge; nice minerally and oily nose; tasty tight but solid lemon and faintly herbal palate, with smoke, oily texture and good grip; medium finish (none of the bitterness of the '04)

Spanish Dinner (Denver, CO): Another good showing. Way more white fruit than the txakolina, but this was not as refreshingly acidic.

Pleasant, smooth, citrusy, slightly dry. A very nice white wine.
