  Writing this 2 weeks after the fact. Color was bordering on brick, and ultimately while beautiful wine, it probably was in the decline. Definitely improved the longer it was open, but seemed to lack a strong finish - almost too smooth. Yet, so lovely drinking an older wine.

  Color is a beautiful translucent garnet color. Poured it while I was making Risotto, did a double take as it really was a beautifully clear garnet in the glass. On the nose, getting a lot of leather, eucalyptus, cedar, raspberry. Nose changed a lot in the first 20 min or so but steadied down to this.
  
  Palate - Not a long or complex finish, but pleasing in the way an aged Cab can be. Mint, dark cherry, green pepper, cedar.
  
  I think these are on the backside of their drinking window, still very pleasant but I will open my other bottle this year.
  
  50+5+10+14+8 = 87
