Very classical, well balanced, masculine Bordeaux. Intensity and depth. At a good point of aging right now, I'd think. Very satisfying. Price of ~20 EUR is pretty much OK.

Deep dark reddish purple color with a very pleasant nose of rich dark black and red fruits beautifully integrated with cedar, vanilla and an earthy profile. The palate is of high quality fruit from an exceptional vintage with a dense and luxurious mouthfeel, well-structured, with good intensity, on the lighter end of full-bodied, moderately dry, quite soft and balanced and exudes a very mellow yet firm presence. The flavor components includes a core of well extracted dark fruits infused with a lovely array of secondary characteristics including noticeable cedar wood, mild oak, rich vanilla cream, mild tobacco, Kona coffee and a very quick flash of intense minerality towards the finish. A quality and delicious blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. I was glad that I picked up this Cru Bourgeois Superior at the last minute from a local supermarket to pair with a take-out roasted goose dinner. It certainly made an otherwise ordinary dinner alone in a Hong Kong hotel room a truly remarkable and memorable experience. 90 - 92

Upon decanting, my partner said she could smell the wine ten feet away. This bottle may have showed best early: expressive nose, good balance, shortish but pleasant finish....this bottle 90 pts

Served by the glass at La Tête dans les Raisins (Lorient, France). Deep dark ruby magenta color. Fig, stewed plum, anise, and lamb skin on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate. Firm tannins on the medium long finish. Very solid for the price.
