  • This wan'st given the attention it deserved. It appeared to me to be golden, fragrant, sweet, citrusy. Good and perhaps a bit underwhelming. But it wasn't well chosen for the dessert (mea culpa).

  • Yellow fruits, medium rich yet delicate. Some hint of petroleum and spice. Perfect harmony.

  • Classy Riesling aromas with ripe yellow fruits, spices and some liquorice. Sweet, but refreshing in the mouth. Tender and delicate for a Nahe. Just a little richer than a Mosel, and maybe a little less elegant too.

  • Clear, medium intensity lemon color.

The nose is youthful with a medium aroma intensity. Aromas of fresh grapes, lime, melon, honeysuckle, white flowers, saffron, ginger, green pear and tropical fruits. Lovely Riesling-nose!

Sweet on the palate with a medium(+) acidity and medium(+) body. The flavor intensity is medium(+) with flavors of tropical fruits, green pear, sweetened lime juice, honeysuckle, saffron and stony minerals. The finish is medium(+) with a refreshing whiff of green apples and sweet lime.

Once again I'm in love with the wines from Dönnhoff! This has high intensity and concentration but still leaves your palate with a light, refreshing feeling. Lovely wine! Still young today but drinking very well. This will probably keep for another 10-15 years.

  • Delicate nose with lots of Riesling character, citrus fruit, a little petrol, nuts, cream, strawberries, white redcurrants, gräddglass, violettes and a little butter.

Outstandingly well balanced with lots of sweetness but a piercing acidity giving the wine structure. Creamy viscosity without feeling sticky. High intensity and a long, long finish. This is just as good as it should be!
