Decanted 3 hours. What a shame!!! I think it is past it's prime. It seemed to have not much life left and quite dull, but still tasty. Could have been flawed Probably was excellent in it's time. Nose had ceder, some nail polish type alcohol, hints of blueberry, almost a play-doh type smell to it. Nice mouth feel. Quite heavy weight, silky, low acid. Taste black currant, dark cherry, hints of pie aspect. A bit disappointed by this wine. I thought it would come with something more.
Several hours of decanting. Dark prune nose, lighter than expected, but ultra smooth and fine. Delicious mid palate that is hard to describe but enjoyable, some overripe cherries, through to a nice finish. This tastes good still, but past its prime, and has started to decline. That said it went well with a nice wagyu steak.
