  • Colour: pale gold
Nose: peach, nectarine, fleshy pithy fruit and skins. Lots of lemon and lemon curd. Maybe some butter. Rich, with a hint of bitterness.
Palate: lemon, lemon peel, lemon curd. Stone fruit, nectarine and peach, sweet fleshy pithy fruit and skins. Buttery richness balanced by beautiful lemony acidity and a touch of phenolic bitterness that provides some structure. 13,5% alcohol. This is genuinely lovely, a pretty decent white burgundy, and great value for money.

  • Excellent, inexpensive Macon. It still has toffee and butter flavours on the nose and palate as it opened over a few hours with white peach, citrus and tropical fruits on the palate. Quite long and good on its own or with food. Enjoyable.

  • Pale colour. It still has toffee and butter flavours on the nose and palate as it opened over a few hours. Just a hint of citrus but the soft tropical fruits are there on the mid/end palate. Quite long and good on its own or with food. It is surviving well for a straightforward white Burgundy. Enjoyable.

  • Colour: pale straw
Nose: lots of stone fruit, nectarine, peach. Stewed apricot. Lemon, lemon peel. Quite rich, but overlain by fresh citrussy character.
Palate: lots of stone fruit, stewed apricot, peach, nectarine. Lemon, lemon peel, lemon curd. Some richness, perhaps from lees. Again, sweetness and richness overlain by fresh citrussy acid and lemon character. Touch of bitterness and phenolic grippiness. Touch of glycerol, rich smooth oily mouthfeel . Actually pretty decent, great value, if not all that complex. 13,5% alcohol.
