This one was the winner of a 'taste-off' between this wine and a 2004 Miner Mendocino Sangiovese. Its started deeper and dryer than the Miner and had hints of butter when tasted after consuming food. Longer air exposure really reduced the tannins and towards the end the two wines tasted more alike. But in the end we decided the Rutherford Grove was the winner by just a little.
