  Gorgeous mature white burgundy with a boastful, fresh nose of lemon cream, orchard fruit and mineral. The palate is bright and lively. At peak and sound bottles should hold for at least a few years.

  Comtes Lafon Dinner - Blanc et Rouge (RPM Seafood - Chicago IL): Mature apple and baked apple with toasted almond. Wonderfully energetic and vibrant with a long, polished finish. Wonder4fully fresh. Great now.

  Comtes Lafon Virtual Tasting with Lea and Pierre Lafon (Planet Earth): Opened 3 hours before serving, in order to share with other quarantined tasters. I was initially concerned about oxidation, but this freshened up nicely with time in glass. Served alongside the bigger 2009, this was more texturally complex with more nuanced flavors and aromas as well. Intriguing combination of apple, almond butter, sweet spice and earth are so charming. I slightly preferred this over the 2009, but some others disagreed.
