  • Day 1: 60-minute decant was 30 minutes less than needed, which I discovered in the middle of dinner :) Really nice nose from the beginning, very complex and attractive variety of dark red and black fruits, but some sharp acids. At 90-minute mark the acids calmed down and the mouthfeel became quite silky and long-finishing -- that oh-wow moment. The luxuriousness lasted through the rest of dinner and about 5 1/2 ounces remained, which I put in an old half-bottle and re-corked. Day 2: unfortunately the acids returned, essentially a 180 back to the beginning. Still a nice quaff but not what was. So, my advice is to drink up. I have one bottle left and not really sure how long it will last.

  • Very typical entry level Pauillac. I would give this at least 3-5 years before tasting again. Clearly still on the rise.
