Very good, but also very powerful. Not a lot of the subtlety I have tasted with other CdP such as Vieux Telegraphe La Crau. Maybe it would be better in a few years; I somehow thought this was an "open earlier" CdP, but it might be better in 3-5 years.

DnP. Light red. Mature spicy bouquet, more minerality than garrigues, complex. Well balanced palate, l+T, mB, lA, ripe red fruit, medium finish. Drink now-onwards.

Had a coravin pour. Decanted 3 hours in the glass. Now it really shines compared to two years ago when it seemed to be muted. Crimson color, on the nose you really get the beautiful fresh cherry and the mentol of a great grenache in a colder vintage. On the palate, you can find fresh cherry, blueberry, white pepper and cinnamon. The tannins are not fully integrated but have a fine granularity, which gives a good structure in mouth. Well-balanced with a nice acidity, the wine is silky and shows the feminine side of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Amazing finish of 20+ seconds. Beautiful wines to pair with quail, pheasant or duck as well as with young cheese.

Nice (not easy to identify as a CDP) but time to drink it up...
