I am pretty sure that my brother-in-law, who works (worked?) for the producer of this wine, sent it to me a while ago. I have long been a fan of the brand (at least its original iteration), and I was excited when they brought back the original winemaker. Black raspberry and menthol, with a quick twist of the pepper mill, this wine is solid from the jump. It will not put hair on your chest (or remove it—whatever your predilection), but it will serve a purpose. Ours tonight was spaghetti and meatballs and this performed admirably. Very good. thedrunkencyclist.com

Pale purple colour. Aromas of tobacco and prunes. Good fruit, with red cherries and cranberry, some spicy notes and a smooth finish.
