This has aged very well - at its prime. Mellowed nicely although limited nose.

drank the 2016 the night before and the 2014 tonight. The 2014 seemed to have smoothed out slightly - will wait on my remaining 2016s for another year - only 4 left.

Decanted for 3 hours - opened up a lot - made it much more drinkable. Waited another hour before having for dinner. Went extremely well with my coq au vin.

Average gigondas. Needs air. Way better on the second day. Lots of dark fruit. Hint of bitterness in the finish. Medium plus. Lacks a bit of complexity imo.

Excellent gigondas, unfortunately I didn't take any note when drinking.
Open few hours before. Powerfully, dark fruit and lot of spices. The day after some animal and leather notes started to appear.
I never had such a good gigondas
