Chose this to pair with some little Canadian pork and clove pies, and it was a good match for the dark spices. Could use a touch more acid, and though the color and tannins are holding up well for it's age I'd still play the Time's Up card here. Drink soon.
This wine was actually the higher level Le Originees. It was perfectly ready to drink, It had the bouquet of tomato leaf in red hot stones. The flavors were of strawberry a slight bit of rhubarb and again some gravel the notes. Tenants had subsided and it was a very nice wine to have with an aged prime steak

Purple and opaque to start (not decanted). Gamey nose with blood and berries and a hint of new tires. Faded somewhat as we got through the bottle, good but not a wine I'd expect more from in the future; drink up.

On day one this bottle, recently purchased from Flickingers, was aerated briefly and consumed with a simple homemade pizza. The wine is in a very nice place right now. At the age of 13 it appeared youthful. Big and tannic, with grenache the dominant varietal. But well balanced, not "hot". Day two this wine was even better, consumed with leftover pork tenderloin, opening up and throwing off more sediment. Not flashy, but a very solid cdp.
