  HDH auction at avec (Chicago, IL): A very good showing for a tough vintage. Ripe fruit; some kirsch as well. Sweet and powerful on the palate with softened tannic structure. Drink up.

  Was very excited to drink this wine at a gathering with friends and the wine almost did it for me but fell just short. The wine is super delicate but precise where the palette consists of an assortment of berries, slight earth, and great minerality. If the wine just ended in such manner it would've been my wotn for me but unfortunately at the end the alcohol very visibly sticks out and assaults the senses. Feel very privileged to have tried this wine but just unfortunate that it falls short right at the end. Would strongly advise for those with this bottle to enjoy this in the near term.
