Age becomes this one, it has kept very well indeed. Bright acidity, notes of honey, citrus, minerals and a wee bit of smoke. Interesting wine, also by itself.

Clear medium yellow appearance On the nose: Fruit (blackcurrant) but also some honey. Agitated blackcurrant, asparagus and some earthy notes showing its complexity and its age. On the palate: crisp, dry, polished wine. Overall, good, well-made wine but not as inviting as others in the same category. Fairly priced (20 GBP)

Typical Sauv Blanc nose of blackcurrant leaves and gooseberry. Very high acidity almost tart. Too much of it and nothing much to balance it. OK but there are better alternatives for the same money.

Michael Schuster Fine Wine Course Day 2 (Headspace, Hatton Gardens, London): Pale lemon, clear and bright. Medium (+) intensity aromatic aromas, elderflower, gooseberry, blackcurrant leaf, wax, honey. Developing. Dry, high acidity, firm/lively, medium alcohol and body, medium (+) intensity flavours, similar to the nose, but with evident minerality. Long finish. Polished. Very good quality. Can be drunk now but suitable for further ageing over next few years.
