  • This stuff has me barking at the moon tonight!. Beautiful PN as now I believe only Oregon can produce. It is a sinfull glass of wine

  • Just outstanding again. The cola, cinnamon and ripened black cherry are so concentrated and yet the wine has such a beautiful medim ruby color which allows light to pass through even at the widest part of the glass. It is a fruit and spice forward wine but with delightful undertones of freshly turned loam and smokiness. Also the acidity is razor sharp here and should allow this wine to keep for years and years. A striking PN

BTW this wine is from Oregon, Wilamette Valley. I do not believe Saxon Brown made any California PN in 1998.

  • A delicious mature Oregon PN. At 8 years of age, this wine is extrordinary. Medium red with an ever so slight amber tinge, it shows an intoxicating nose of cherry, smoke, cola, buttered popcorn, foggy forest floor, mushrooms, and candy apple.
An initial slight spritz to the tip of the tongue is followed by gobs of red fruit, spice, smoke, and loam. Medium bodied, impeccable balance, with a lingering finish seals the deal.
Very nice - 94 pts - best Oregon PN I have had to date (with apologies to Dick Shea!).
