Not even 3 weeks ago I had just Barolo from this winery and it's fantastic. Let's see if this Bussia Cru from the same vintage is any better.( it should) 45 minutes in decanter. 🕐⏰🕙 Well...I will start slowly with smell first. Typical aromas for 30 years old wine like prune, tobacco, barnyard ( nice!), but also a lot of red cherry, black berry, plum, milk chocolate ( this is so delicious). Great balance between all aromas. Not one go ahead of other. They play unisono. Taste ? Let's speed up now Red cherry mixed with black cherry mixed with milk chocolate mixed with vivid acidity. It was fast, wasn't it? I will add nice grippy tannins to the long, juicy finish. Cranberry and plum. No spice here, but it's not so important, because of lively acidity
Perfect balance, harmony, it looks like each sip is better and better.
I have one more bottle. See you next year 🙂
Third glass - aromas of toffee, smoke, raspberry (?). Taste - still bright, energetic, addictive. WS - 90 RP - 90

Trani at Sgarra. Italy wins the European championship. Had next to Scavinos Lorenzo. So developed and open. Actually from a magnum opened yesterday. Tertiary aromas all over the place. Hasn’t gone geriatric yet.

A bit more dry extract than the 1990 Prunotto Barolo Bussia, this has decent seamless fruit and nebbiolo taste but it lacks life - gives off commercial and uninteresting vibes.... (Commerce)

Decanted for one hour. Sous-bois and some red and dark fruit on the nose. Medium bodied, still quite youthful, nice fruit with hints of tar and earthy notes backed up with firm acidic structure and strong tannic grip. Could easily hold for ten more years. Improved with more airtime in the glass. Great stuff.
