Singleton. Not 100 percent sure but think this was bought at the PA state store a few years ago. Wife opened it for "Pizza night" and I got home late. Probably on sale, not sure price. Opened Friday and tasted Friday/Saturday. This wine is lighter in color and density, it's cherry red with pinkish purple rim. It's much lighter than most Malbec wines I have had but I am not at all experienced with Malbec. On Day 1, I found the aroma a bit barnyard and one-dimensional. The flavor was rather typical of what I expect from Malbec and it was OK. Day 2 both my wife and I found it to be improved. The aroma was more subtle and spicy pepper. The flavor was still rather one-dimensional but some nice spicy element and enough fruit and a rather nice finish and goes fine with pizza. It's a little bit too "raisin" and proabably not going to get much better than it is now. Decent wine for a reasonable price and much easier to drink than many Malbecs. This can be drank without food where I almost never can drink Malbec without food normally. Neither of us think it's our favorite. I happened to be tasting the 2018 Tour St. Christophe which of course blows this away (see the notes on that to come as I'm doing day 2 of that right now, very slowly)

By the glass at the BA lounge , not freshly opened. Dark fruited, light sweet ripe core, well assimilated oak vs 6 months ago ( Papies 87) and definitely felt marginally better without making it to the special category. Decent 88

Wow, started a little tart, but balanced over about 2 hours. Nicely balanced with acid and tanin. Really good center of tongue fruit, tartness and sweet. Sophisticated, in every way. Nose is a bit less intense with mild vanilla and cherry blossom. Excellent Malbec.

Gorgeous purple core fading into a ruby red rim. At room temperature, nose showed a bit of earth, fertilizer, and moss. Upon cooling a bit, blackberry, cotton, and jasmine became more dominant. Medium finish with medium complexity and medium plus tannins. Had coravin'd a glass of this wine about 1.5 month ago and remembered liking it more than I did today.. Unclear if anything had drastically changed, but today, felt that the nose was pretty pleasant but not as complex as I would have liked, and the palate was fine but there wasn't anything about it that I was looking forward to going back to the glass for.

A little unstructured, with a not entirely pleasant hint of stewed tomato in the mix, not our favorite.
