Slow ox for an hour then decanted for an hour. Strong and expressive nose - bitter chocolate, blue and red fruit, coffee, menthol and cedar. Powerful wine on the palette. Concentrated spicy and peppery on the palette that reflected the nose. Fairly long finish. Loved this wine.
Deep plum colour. Expressive nose, with blackberry, blackcherry some smoke, roasted meat, charcoal, persistent. Similar on palate, initially some nice sweet blackberry and cherry fruit, turns a little dry -maybe a little too much oak, still tastes a little raw, decent length of flavour on the finish. Overall pretty tasty, decent acidity and balance - just a little too much oak.
