Light golden with a touch of green - very similar to the color of the '04 tasted last week. Ripe pear and tropical fruit nose. A bit more primary than the '04, there is a lovely peach fuzz texture that hint at great future complexity. Delicious with a long life ahead. (94+)
Beautiful. Rich and a little sweeter than semi-sweet. A bit of green apple, honeysuckle. Crazy long finish. Great balance. A lovely wine with good weight. Young but fantastic. Look forward to tracking the evolution of this wine, it will have a long life ahead of it.
Opened it for Thanksgiving dinner @ David and Jackie's. Really enjoyed it. Lovely floral nose, not overly sweet despite the reputation of the 2005 vintage, not cloying, good acidity - maybe could have a little more acidity. Showing really well.
