Green apple, orange creamsicle, candied ginger, honey. Quite treacly on the palate, at times, almost verging on auslese in weight, but missing a bit of acid to balance it. Overall pleasant; it's rich, sweet, and there's good concentration and aromatic intensity, but it didn't really have the energy and high acid tension in what I usually look for in riesling. AP 11 06
ABV: 8.5% Closure: natural cork Stem: Spiegelau Definition Universal Decant: N/A; drank over the course of an evening

Light gold color with a hint of green. The nose is full of pure Riesling notes with hints of nectarine and honey. Viscous and veloptuous there is a wonderful harmony to the wine. Wonderfully fresh finish. Still early in the aging curve. Lacks some fireworks of previous bottles yet this is pure, glorious spatlese. (92)

The End of Winefoolishness in Chicago (Hughes House - Chicago IL): My least fav of the trio, this was the ripest and less complex, so coming across as simpler with fewer layers. Very easy to enjoy, but simple, and others enjoyed this more than I did tonight.

Chez Winefool Goodbye Dinner (Chicago, IL): Much more powerful and ripe next to the more elegant side-by-side. Tastes quite primary and un-evolved. Upside from here?

Rich and a bit over demi sec. Green apple, steel. Good balance. Golden. Very nice, but on the sweet side. Beautiful.
