A: Pale lemon (water white really) N: Medium (+) nose of banana, PEAR, lemon, wet rock, salt, Mike got smoke P: Dry, high acidity , low alcohol, medium (-) body, medium intensity, medium (+) finish C: Alcohol not well integrated. Not complex and fruit not well defined. Good quality. Not suitable for ageing. So you can pretty much ignore the conclusions above. Despite appearing neutral, Semillon has the ability to age for a long time.
I NEVER get Semillon in a blindtasting. Ever.I cannot spot the low alcohol.I didn't get any of the beeswax either and so really didn't spot it, In addition, I couldn't get any tropical fruit so didn't have it down as New World. Considering how fresh and young this still is, its going to stick around for a while.

Hunter Whistlestop - the road less travelled #1 (Hunter Valley): Just beginning to develop some tertiary characteristics. Honey for me, but with chalky minerality, apple and very slight fresh cut grass notes. Juicy, tangy, slight bitter, lacks fruit disappointingly. Meh.

Hunter Valley 2016 Trip #1 (Hunter Valley, Australia): Pear and apple. Palate is a little on the watery side. Medium length, but pretty uninspiring.
