Deep red/black center, red rim with signs of age. Blackberry, smoke, alcohol, little edgy, cream soda, marzipan. Sweet, plums and some green peppers, sweet, rounded maturity, a little nutty, marzipan, modest acidity and tannin, good slightly vegetal finish. Very good vintage port, matured well, still has some time to go, but drinking very well now.

Dark red although it was getting pretty dark outside. Dark fruit, figs and plums. Sweet flavours and still quite tannic. However this may have been primary but was great with cheese.

S FL WS Group celebrates JC & FKG's new home (Hollywood, FL): No bricking yet, though this was drinking well and opened nicely without any heat on the finish. Thick and rich, but a bit less sweet than some others. Still quite youthful, but it has entered its drinking window.

Decanted 6hrs, still quite backward, very nice blackberry liqueur, chocolate, cloves and vanilla. A powerful port that is tannic, but balanced, needs at least 5 more years to fully show it's stuff! 91+

Colorado Memorial Day Tasting; 5/26/2023-5/27/2023 (Longmont, Colorado): Dark Ruby in color. There are some slight hints of pool chlorine on the nose with some subtle dark fruit. Tart cranberry on the palate with some chocolate and some coarse, unrefined tannins. Medium-long finish.
