Brown mahogany color; sweet sweaty sock (in a good way ;), ripe, warm macerated mixed dark berry fruits, baked walnuts, pot pouri dried rose petals, some anise and herbs. Really cool, but deteriorated fast; lots of fun but clearly past its prime or had a bad moment or two in cellar or transferring between cellars at some point in it's warm Pasadena history. Not a stellar vintage, and Paolo says so right on the front label. Good with penne and sausage ragu and pairs seamlessly with parmigiano! Gift from Jeff Z long time ago. 88-90 (90 in the first 2 minutes from the bottle!). I guess this was about 8 years too late...

almost raisin in color---brick tinted edges with clear color. a sweet nose with hints of brown sugar, dried roses. there's something stronger like acetone. smooth, some chewy grip otf. some mature notes, a little currant, some strawberry and black fruits. still kicking, but mature.

Meh, this was necrotic. Knew I shouldn't have waited so long, my fault. Don't give a Rosso more than 10 years if you can avoid it.
