Wine is quite in a momentum, right time to drink, smooth tannins, nice secondary fruit, not too concentrated so 2014's vintage is quite well represented, was drunk with a slow cooking rabbit and mashed potatoes.

Nez discret, plutôt boisé et fumé. En bouche, c est moyennement corsé, tanins presents. Longueur moyenne. Aurait obtenu une meilleure note s' il y avait eu un peu de fruits. Bon sans plus.

Chapoutier Masterclass (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Initially this shows some cork taint which masks the black fruits - especially blackberry - and some peppery spice & cream. And that continues to the palate. With time there is an initial improvement before it starts to fall again…FLAW

Slow-oxed on opening fo about 1 hour. Day 1: a bit numb, not giving a lot. Where's the fun? Quickly stoppered, let's see if little aeration wakes up the wine to show better tomorrow.

Much more alive than my first bottle, about a year and a half ago. Fine syrah, meaty, refined, open for business.
