In the bouquet tea, leather rust and celery. On the palate a very mature wine with chocolate, chamomile tea, a lot of sweet spiciness, ok acidity and also a firm dose of sweetness. The tannin is completely melted. The wine is still drinkable and even a pleasure, but in fact too old now. Should have been drunk 5 years ago. No score.
final bottle...still rich full fruit although one in our party found it too ripe/rich....perhaps a tad too full and not altogether pure with some of the usual Rhone funk....still enjoyed all these bottles
