La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA): Walkaround vertical tasting. Faintly reductive. Complex array of red and black cherries and berries, but still firm structure making this barely forthcoming. Spice and whole cluster character is somewhere between very charming and too pronounced. Overall, also tough to fully assess right now but there is so much great stuff here, I am excited about where this will emerge 2030 forward.

Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Pale ruby. Obviously stemmy. Lovely lighter weight. Subtly sweet red and blue fruit, significant char, excellent acidity and soil, moderate drying tannins. At least very good, but I think that the whole cluster treatment is overdone in this wine compared to the more judicious handling of the 2 subsequent vintages. Needs a lot of time in any case.

Musique & Vin Wine Tasting (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Tasting, brief note. Clearly one of today's highlights. Mostly red cherry with black cherry and red berry hints. Great spice kept unfolding in new ways, tough in a 45 second taste. I truly want to revisit this wine very soon. 94-96 point potential.

TN on parcel from young vines. 95% ML complete. Bright red fruit, very bright and precocious. Moderate concentration. New oak not fully absorbed.
TN on parcel from the oldest vines located near Lambrays with little topsoil. ML complete. Slightly austere red fruit start with lots of flowers and spice. Alluring aromas. Huge concentration, but also elegant with delicate textures. Wow.
TN on parcel from higher on the slope near Bonnes Mares. ML complete. Broad and brawny with lots of floral, spice and black fruit. Firm and meaty textures with mouth puckering tannins right now.

Monday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Clos de Tart, Lambrays, Bonneau du Martray and Perrot-Minot (Cote d'Or): First, the TN for the expected composed wine from all parcels. Black and red cherry aromas and flavors with savory spice and spring floral hints. Spice most prominent on the expanding finish. Very concentrated. 95-96 point potential.
