The nose here is just mind bendingly complex, and still, the one word that comes to mind is "delicate". The harmony of this wine transcends physical reality and transports me to alternative dimensions, not adhering to our usual wordly surroundings, but rather emphasizing esthetic resonance and higher truths.
Suffice it to say, I liked it. A lot.
The nose featured an intense earthiness with a wonderful warm soil aroma, fresh mushrooms, saffron, musk, white pepper and rubber. The fruit had perfectly mature high notes of redcurrant, strawberry and blood orange. It embodied the whole specter of aromas, more so than any Burgundy wine I´ve ever had.
The palate was more fruit driven than the nose with red cherry, raspberry, lemon rind. Enormous length with red cherry skins.

50th Birthday Bash: In contrast to the more classic Vougeot from Rebourseau, the Mugneret-Gibourg Vougeot was borderline exotic and sexy. Bright red and vibrant fruit fills the glass. I could sit and smell this wine all night long. Incredible length and purity. In 20 years, this will be a showstopper once it puts on some secondary notes. Wow!

Fantastic young nose of crushed stone and minerals, dark fruit, cacao, floral noted and earl grey and green tea. Enormous but balanced palate of acidity and weight with huge young timeless finish. Very young but very good
Drinking awesome with decant but built to age and a huge effort.

Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Hedonistic nose displaying perfectly ripe pure black fruit, crushed blackberry, blackberry concentrate, black cherry, light caramel, dark flowers, roasted coffee bean and crushed rocks. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of explosive black fruit, opulent and rich yet pure and refined, perfect amount of acidity and strong mineral, and an incredibly long seamless opulent pure black fruit driven finish. This is sexy, sensual and hedonistic.

Mugneret-Gibourg (Clos Vougeot and Lutenières) (Tøyen, Oslo): Opened 3h prior to dinner, quick double decanting 2 h before serving

Thursday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Prieure-Roch, Mugneret-Gibourg and David Duband (Cote d'Or (Mostly)): Barrel tasting at the domaine, also from a new oak barrel. Black and red cherry with superb savory spice. Very concentrated, with a roast meat power and character I really liked. Very long, expressive finish. An excellent wine in the making.
