  Tasted over 3 hrs
  -nearly semi-translucent med dark red mild clearing
  -ripe cherry and berry
  -med+ acidity provides a burst of tension, med/med- weight tightly wound bitter dark fruit earth a faint oxidative note and a bit of heat, fine chalky med tannins
  -this bottle might be a bit off

  Enjoyed with John Steele at Addison in San Diego. Good deep color, tending toward darker fruits. Needs more time to settle, but we’ll balanced with a pleasantly long finish.

  Thursday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Lafarge, Lamarche, Château De La Tour and Dublère (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine. Almost identical flavor profile to the Volnay AC just with greater length and density. Also VG+ for its level, and probably price.
