On the first day this was a bit too warm - very typical (as noted several times) slightly "green" cabernet nose, but otherwise quite uninteresting and broad. On the second day I tried it cooler- much better, fresher, the herbal notes were less strong, pretty red fruits on nose an palate, fresh acidity and long finish. A wine with character and a lot of life in it. Drink or hold.
This wine has a specific 'green' quality, might be typical for Cab Franc (I am just guessing). There is plenty of red fruit and a nice mouthfeel. It is very distinctive and probably not really a crowd pleaser but to me, a really good food wine. Drank the second half of the bottle two days after opening and it was still going strong.
