  • I opened this for K. birthday dinner and we had it with scallops and red snapper. After opening it had a light youthful colour that seemed to get darker with time (?) - a light gold. No hints of age on the nose, in fact a bit shy. On the palate youthful, no signs of age, tightly wound with good acidity and a persistent, spicy finish. I couldn't detect a lot of oak (not sure if there was anything at all). This was a very good wine and our first Chablis 1er Cru. This is actually a bit closed at the moment and should improve during the next years. (Cork was soaked all the way through but it didn't seem to have any bad effect).
