  Still purple with slight brown edge, very dense, cloudy. A bit of alcohol on the nose, followed by ripe cherry, red plum and a touch of allspice on the nose. Sweet, red cherry with a touch of tar and dried herbs. It took 10 years for this wine to come around to something I want to drink, but I'd drink up now as the alcohol might start to overwhelm the fruit in a few more years.

  much better than I remembered, although I'm about to have another glass of this - much better than the disappointing big break zin I had a few weeks ago. Lots of bold fruit you'd expect from a Zin, but with a nice balance, you don't really notice the high alcohol. A good deal if it stays under $22.
