Beautiful Nuits St Georges. Definitely in its decline but still full of PNoir notes and unmistakable Burgundy flavour. Has lost its length en bouche, nose is 80% of where it should be.

Like with all Faiveley wines form the era of Francois Faiveley, this bottle is dominated by rough tannins that will never come around. Luckily his some Erwan now makes much better wines. Don't buy any Faiveley Burgs before 2006.

PopnPour, tasted over 1.5hr, from 375 mL -nearly opaque dark red, mild bricking -somber earthy cherry iron -med acidity, med/med+ weight dense iron earth cherry remnants, med tannins slightly dried out and a hint of wood -rustic and masculine just as one would expect for this wine, even in this format this bottle is still in early maturity and is less evolved than a half bottle tasted 2 years ago

Décevant Une teinte au bord tuilé manquant de brillance et un nez évolué sans charme le rendent peu engageant. Ainsi Il pinote discrètement, avec des notes de sous-bois et de griottine, laissant espérer un réveil avec l’aération... Hélas, il se durcit peu à peu mais ne gagne rien ni en fraîcheur ni en élégance: il reste engoncé par son élevage (désagréable sensation de bois asséchant) et libère l’expression d’un terroir dur (bien typé Nuits d’ailleurs). Bref, il manque de jus, de fruit, d’homogénéité. Sans compter qu’il a sans doute qq années de trop ! A mon sens, c’est l’exemple symptomatique du pinot trop ambitieux qui se fourvoie, un vin prétentieux des 90’s qui tombe dans la dureté. Comme les temps ont changé! ;-)

The wine was over the top and lacked any character. It's was void of fruit, flavor, tannins and acidity. Hopefully others will share a better experience.
