While I’m currently drinking through a six pack of the 2010, the chance to try a much older bottle that I came across recently wasn’t one to turn down. Slow oxygenated for 4 hours then decanted. Rather mushroomy at first but as it opened up classic Sangiovese autumnal sents of undergrowth mixed in with a bit of menthol. No decay but only a vestige of fruit, quite savoury like an old Brunello. Mellow and probably a decade past it’s peak but still an interesting wine
