A little closed and tight upon opening, paired with beef stew, but I had brought it up from a cold cellar without giving enough time to reach room temperature. Delicious the second night with grilled steak.

A nose of dark fruit and spices, dark garnet in color. A smooth drinking red, black cherry, plum, spices on finish, a good value for this price level, was better last year. www.winelx.com

This is one of the more incredible values out there in the wine world. Consistently, year after year, Evodia is a wonderful Granacha for the price. Lots of fruit, well-balanced but strong with 15% alcohol. Kind of jammy. No complaints for an everyday wine that is enjoyable from start to finish.

Dark purple. Nose is tart ripe fruit. Cherry. A little mushroom or almost a baking bread aroma. Medium-high tannin. Fruit on the palate. Not much finish. For $8 this is a solid value.
