  since insignia is one of my favorite wines, i must show respect for the proprietor and winemaker. that said, it is necessary not to inflate the importance of this wine. it is well crafted and makes a friendly impression. mostly butter and lemon. not much citrus or acidity. easy drinking. kind of like the class one takes in college when an easy A is needed so as not to flunk out. this is not the current vintage. will reserve final judgment until trying the 2005.
