The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Matt & Jody's): Pale yellow color. Notes of tropical fruit, wax, lanolin and acetone. Flavors of orchard fruit and almond. The acetone quality got stronger with air-- would have been fairly nice otherwise.

Served double blind to the group at the July tasting. Yellow color. Waxy, lanolin-like notes to the fruit which carry right on through to the palate. Relatively one dimensional, but exactly what I think of when I taste white Rhone wines.

Nice freshness. Aromas of honey and spice. On the palate, nice balance, with honey and spice notes, as well as a faint nuttiness. Nice. More balanced and interesting than the softer 2004 Clos du Caillou CdR Blanc "Bouquet des Garrgues" which followed (see TN).

(Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Télégramme) Lemon mousse and oak nose; oily quality, lemon and vanilla palate, reminiscent of a decent Napa Chard; medium finish

Poured at a retailer tasting. Nice floral and pear aromas, with a faint waxy edge. Rich waxy tropical fruit flavors.
