Fresher and more lively than the last bottle I tried. Vibrant pear and grapefruit flavours accented by mature smoky and creamy notes with a gentle mineral undercurrent, so light on its feet, so perfectly balanced - just another reminder that Hans-Gunter Schwarz was a genius.

Fabulous kabinett from a poor vintage, but a master winemaker. Shows more like halbtrocken now, with ripe grapefruit and a whiff of smoke. Could go on for years more.

Producer, producer, producer! Miserable German vintage and a 12 year old Kabinett that's still remarkably fresh and bright. The colour's light gold now and it seems fully developed with a mix of smoky and burnished flavour elements on top of bright peach and grapefruit flavours with mineral and gentle honeyed accents emerging with more air. Not a whole lot of acidity, but it's still nicely balanced and a remaining glass afterwards while clearing up seemed even fresher and brighter. If there wasn't already enough proof that Hans-Gunter Schwarz was a magician...

This was lovely stuff. Dark gold, quite viscous, wonderful vibrancy and rich core of grapefruit and stone fruit. sorry this is my last bottle.
