Yellow. Aromas of grapefruit zest and botanical herbs. Medium weight, some glycerine. Citrus, quinine, stone, and great acidity. What a fascinating, fabulous wine that is unlike any other Sancerre.

The hype around this wine is driven by its singularity. I think the iconic bottle and green wax capsule helps a bit, too.
The wine is pale yellow with a greenish hue, still young. Heady alcohol aromas even an hour or two after opening. It’s leesy, herbal, and grassy at the same time. Celery, mint, lychee, papaya, peach and straw. It’s a little salty on the palate, too. Crisp citric acids. Unmistakably sauv blanc, and certainly the best one I’ve ever had.
Is it 4x Cotat? No way, but it does carry more interest and complexity than any I’ve had

One of those wines that the more time you spend with it the more depth it reveals. Needs a couple hours air. Deep nose, lifted, Stoney, hints of smoke. Impressively complex. Palate is more open than expected for such a young wine, but still lots of vibrancy and dancing nuance. Has some subtle green notes and hints of pepper with clean pure yellow fruits. Lengthy chalky finish. Wow wine for sure. Wasn’t sure on first pass....but 2 hrs later...daaaamn!

It's a fine Sauv Blanc but nothing special
Edit: intense licorice/anise aroma. Not my thing.

Minerality, balance, fullness on the nose. Rich and precise with huge body. In the face good, definitely top top Sancerre. 94-95
