PnP, chilled. This bottle was definitely beginning to show its age as the usual stone fruits were virtually absent allowing the lemon citrus and minerality to dominate, making the wine somewhat unbalanced. The wine did not improve with the second glass - more air and a bit warmer - leading me to recommend drinking up soon.

Unlike quality Chablis -- to which Chardonnays from this source are often compared -- I don't find that these get better as they age. This bottle was pleasant enough but simple, short, and underwhelming.

Double blind tasting Medium lemon color Medium intensity aromas but very complex and ever-changing - yellow bruised apple changing to ripe crisp green apple and ripe citrus with beautiful white florals and initial matchstick quality - creamy notes and possible minimal new oak notes as well Medium bodied with palate of green apple - linear with rounded edges with saline background - palate was a little dilute IMO and even though I was thinking Chardonnay when I tasted it, I changed my mind as it didn't seem to have that fruit/ acid core I get with Chardonnay Medium plus acidity and minimal phenolic bitterness with medium alcohol Moderate length led by the acidity Beautiful aromas but a little weak on the palate to my taste I went with Soave based on the aromas and mouth feel but not enough phenolics in retrospect Drink now

Pale gold, unfiltered Aromatics medium. Initially some new oak with butterscotch and spice, but fades over time. Yellow apple and stone Palate has a medium body. Acid medium +. No phenolics. Alcohol medium. Round mouthfeel despite the acid. Yellow tart apples, salt and lemons Finish has a medium length driven by the acidity. Balanced Dry glass notes of butterscotch and hay Enjoyable, palate seems somewhat atypical for a chardonnay given salinity and lingering acid Drink now, don't see further aging benefits.

I think this was still drinking well. It seems a little richer than I remember my last bottle - probably 3-4 years ago. Still lovely and complex.
