High toned and citrusy aromas mingling with warm brioche scents, followed by an intense, precise and concentrated citrus inflected flavors, with excellent verve and good grip on the finish. This beauty which definitely punches above its village level, is at perfect peak and should be drunk now. Typical intensity and broadness of the Pierre Morey style.

Medium gold color. Rounded nose of candied citrus, white flowers and butter notes. Elegant palate showing pineapple, lemon curd, orange zest, mineral notes and saline. Good persistence through the mid palate, continued to improve over the time we drank it. Medium weight and finish.
Great showing on this day. Sorry to see so many other tasters had premox'd bottles. This bottle suggests another 7-10 years...

(Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet) Light golden yellow color; poised, lemon, vanilla, nutty, mineral nose with a sense of chalk; tasty, still a little tight, minerally, tart lemon palate; medium-plus finish
(Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet) A creamy nose with faint coconut. Nice concentration and acidity - even some minerality. This is a very good wine but I have to say poor value.

A classic Bourgogne white with oak, almonds and the buttery biscuit ending.

Wow. What a cool bottle of wine. As they say with old burgundy— there are good and bad bottles
This is a very tasty bottle. Golden in glass Thick with still a twang of acid

Impromptu Lunch with Juan and Tom (Market, St Helena): Generous contribution from Tom, nicely chilled, PnP, first wine of the lunch. Drank over an hour

Chez MG: citrus, good length, no sign of premox at all, very good now (and in the future).
