Pronounced nose intensity with slight honey, tropical yellow fruits, pineapple, vanilla. Medium+ acidity and medium finish. Finish is rather short. The nose is great but fall short on the palate. Probably due to the premox problem Leflaive facing during the 2000s period. Still enjoyable.

The one with Bastards (ST Home): Unfortunately a bit advanced. Hazelnuts, apricots, yoghurt on the opening with mango, grapefruit and candied plums on the palate. Slightly metallic with floating notes of iron and steel.

So rich, yet walks the tightrope so well between unctuous and classic, food friendly. It’s practically everything you’d hope for in mature Chardonnay except perhaps a tiny bit more toffee (though this is not over powering).
13%, cork. From Corivin

Still quite young, fat, structured, good acidity, if somewhat mild and reserved compared to the 17 drank a few hours later... 93-94

Excellent and thank god no issues with premox. Just what you want in a big white burg.
