Under screwcap this wine is in perfect condition when I opened it. Shy but distinctive nose including a little apricot. Beautiful light gold-green colour still and its 13 years!
The wine greatly benefits from a decant and left to breath for an hour or two. Then the enjoyable palate really opens up with its impressive viscosity, melon, quince, apricot and citrus parts. The acidity is perfectly judged and probably what has kept this wine going, contributing to a wonderful finish, great with food.
If you've got some of this, there is no hurry (surprisingly?) to drink it as I believe it has another decade without issue. Wonderful stuff.

The best viogner I've tasted so far. A true rival for the French Condrieu, and even above some of them. An unforgettable experience. My next challenge is to seek perfection and find the best vintage.

Nose: Asparagus, eucalyptus (for me), pineapple perhaps toasted coconut with top notes of honeysuckle. Also chicken (eh?) Mouth: Tropical fruit and apricot, still some acidity and subdued bitterness on the long finish. More medium than dry. Nice but uninspiring. This is the last bottle of a half case which has progressively grown more becalmed and dull.

Same as the one with amy - though people more divided. Some like it, one person really didn't
